The HR Operations team oversees the entire onboarding process and manages transitions such as employee starters and leavers, alongside various HR administrative tasks. We are looking for a proactive HR Co-ordinator to join our team to support business operations. This role is set in a dynamic environment that collaborates with different departments across Caledonian Sleeper Limited (CSL) to deliver comprehensive HR services across the organisation.This role reports to the HR Operations Team Lead and collaborates closely with all members of the broader Caledonian Sleeper People Team. Joining the People team now presents an exciting opportunity as we redefine our HR operating model, systems, and practices.
Main Accountabilities:
- Serve as the first line of contact for all HR enquiries, handling personal and sensitive matters with care. Ensuring prompt responses and escalating issues to the HR Advisor or HR Operations Lead as necessary.
- Supporting employee relations, performance & absence management cases.
- Maintain and update HR data across the employee lifecycle.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the People function.
- HR Data Analysis and Reporting.
- Validation of HR and Payroll data to ensure timely processing.
- Assist the HR Operations Lead and HR Advisor with various HR projects as needed.
- Supporting the broader people team ie onboarding & recruitment when required.

- Relevant experience in an HR Co-ordinator, Junior HR Advisor role, with solid HR database management.
- ER Case management experience.
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Essential Skills:
- Previous, demonstratable experience in employee relations.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of HRIS, familiarity with HR software for managing employee data, payroll and recruitment processes.
- Experience of setting up and maintaining effective administrative filling systems.
- Experience of working with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Experience of work involving regular and accurate data inputting.
- Good level of education in English and Maths.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Willing and able to travel, when appropriate.
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 3
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365
