We are seeking a dynamic Network Administrator to join our Regional Network team, supporting EMEA offices. Reporting to the EMEA IT Director and collaborating with the corporate network team, you will be instrumental in installing, administering and optimising Stantec's regional network infrastructure. This role is key to ensuring network availability and developing efficient processes for network management.
You will be responsible for ensuring the availability of the regional network and assisting in developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the regional network environment.
Responsibilities include:
1. Network Management: Support, configure, maintain and upgrade network devices (e.g. firewalls, switches, wireless access points), including after-hours work.
2. System updates: Update network systems and documentation as changes are made.
3. Monitoring & Performance: Monitor network performance, review alerts, diagnose issues and escalate problems as needed.
4. Technical Support: Provide prompt support for incidents, requests, outages, and alerts.
5. Procedures & Documentation: Contribute to the creation of operational procedures and documentation.
6. Change Management: Adhere to change management processes for production changes.
About You
As an existing Network Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, you may be degree qualified in IT or related discipline and/or have proven experience in:
1. Supporting network systems ideally in a large enterprise.
2. A strong foundation of networking concepts including routing and switching of multiple VLANs (ideally Juniper), as well as knowledge of firewalls and VPN.
Along with an understanding of the overall design concept of IT systems and cloud computing and the ability to manage multiple escalated support incidents under tight timescales.
