ESG COORDINATOR
We are recruiting an experienced ESG Coordinator to join one of the UK's leading modular building specialists based in Brandesburton. This is a Permanent Vacancy with great opportunities to progress, offering a salary of £32,000 - £35,000 (dependant on experience) PLUS fantastic holiday allowances.

The ESG Coordinator role is a Permanent position that will commence with immediate effect; however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this.
Job description
As an ESG Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, philanthropic, and ethical best practices, policies, and cultural behaviours. You will also be responsible for accounting carbon across the business, analysing it, and using it to support decisions in the team across net-zero targets, scope three impacts, and the carbon reduction strategy.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
1. Working towards the alignment of our shareholder values with our current carbon reduction strategies and improving broader ESG performance across the group;
2. Assisting the Group with the ESG aspects of materiality, including mapping of identified materiality issues to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, analysing potential opportunities for improvement, and ensuring ESG alignment in accordance with our ESG Policy statement;
3. Developing KPIs and associated processes to ensure continuous improvement across our operations in line with our ESG objectives;
4. Providing dedicated data analysis for the ESG team to support internal and external reporting;
5. Carbon footprinting, long-term forecasting, and creation of high-level impact assessments to enable movement towards a Zero Carbon position in the future;
6. Working with the ESG Committee to further develop the 'Group' ESG strategy;
7. Supporting our Diversity & Inclusion Champion on the design and implementation of D&I strategies and policies;
8. Assisting in the design and delivery of ESG training to staff;
9. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and analysing ESG risks and opportunities, developing appropriate metrics, and aligning reporting with recognised frameworks such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD;
10. Assisting with the preparation of the Company's Sustainability section within its Annual Report;
11. Staying abreast of developments in ESG trends, including climate science, ESG-focused tools and practices used;
12. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders on ESG to accelerate improvements, gain insights into the supply chain, and drive overall performance;
13. Horizon scanning for emerging carbon-related policies or frameworks which could impact the organisation and advising on how best to implement or react to these;
14. Supporting line managers to incorporate value-add ESG targets into team members' performance contracts and embedding ESG processes in BAU;
15. Promoting awareness of corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments internally and externally.
The successful candidate:
To be considered for the position of ESG Coordinator, you must:
1. Have ESG frameworks and modular industry knowledge and experience;
2. Be analytical with the ability to analyse, interpret, derive insights, and communicate carbon and other business data to a range of stakeholders with varying levels of knowledge;
3. Have organisational skills - personal efficiency, time management skills, and the ability to prioritise competing demands are key;
4. Have great communication skills - managing diverse stakeholders and viewpoints;
5. Have commercial acumen - to get involved in strategic decision-making within the business as an influencer;
6. Demonstrate and lead on the values, initiatives, and culture of the organisation;
7. Have excellent computer literacy including strong MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
It would also be desirable to:
1. Be passionate about changing the world for the better;
2. Be comfortable being involved in a broad range of tasks, from contributing to the Group's strategic approach to ESG to tackling administrative tasks;
3. Have knowledge of some of the core sustainability areas that the modular and/or the wider construction sector are involved in;
4. Have a basic knowledge of ESG reporting standards (e.g., UN PRI, CDP, GRI, SASB).
