You will be supporting our Plastics, Maxillofacial, ENT and Plastic Services line. What you will do: Working as part of a team ensuring a high standard of nursing care and safety of patients within the theatre department. Whilst utilising evidence based practice. Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of peri-operative patient care Prepare equipment and instruments according to the individual needs of the patient and Surgeon, as well as involvement with the updating of Surgeon preference cards Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported to the Theatre Co-ordinator immediately. Prepare patients and provide assistance for clinical/operative procedures Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives. What you will bring: Current HCPC/NMC Registration 2-3 years experience working as a Scrub Theatre Practitioner in an Operating Theatre covering Plastics, Maxillofacial, ENT, Head & Neck. Knowledge and understanding of the needs of a patient during the perioperative phase. Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills Self-motivated and confident to support the theatre team.
