Interim Property Manager
Location: Bristol
Skills & Experience:
* Proven work experience as a property manager.
* Knowledge of property management and its financial aspects.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to travel and work an unpredictable schedule.
The purpose of the role is to provide professional support to the Property Partners in the delivery of property-related solutions to requirements identified in Asset Management Plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional and technical advice on property-related matters to Council officers, stakeholders, and members of the public.
* Advise on compliance with legislation, policy, and best practice.
* Contribute towards the gathering of information, monitoring, and reporting on data in relation to the property estate, including inspection, measurement, and valuation of property as required.
* Negotiate legal agreements for the use of land and property by third parties on behalf of the council and negotiate agreements where the council will be a tenant of a third party, including negotiating rent reviews, assignments, surrenders, etc.
* Undertake a property management role for operational assets leased to third parties.
* Work as part of project teams on property reviews/rationalisation.
* Implement operational land and property-related transactions to optimise service delivery, capital receipts, revenue returns, and minimise the overall cost to the Council of the operational property portfolio.
* Adhere to and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practice and policy as set out by the RICS and other relevant external professional bodies.
