• Support the delivery of the highest quality standards of care and outcomes for all our patients through the delivery of safe and effective care treatment, delivered in a manner which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals and reflects the values and philosophy of the service
• Support the delivery of both the Trust and SCBU’s clinical strategy, integrating service delivery within the organisation and with our partner organisations, where clinically appropriate and in line with Trust values.
• Support the improvement of productivity and efficiency within the Trust, to create financial sustainability.
• Support the development of our staff, culture and workforce competencies in line with Trust values, to implement our vision and clinical strategy.
• Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for babies.
• Support the Nurse in charge with the management and organisation of work as required.
• Supervise, mentor and assess learners, students and unregistered staff on a regular basis.
• Work effectively and efficiently with the integrated multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment for students and for the ongoing professional development of registered staff.
• Adheres to Trust Policy of Safeguarding children.
• Promote and monitor the adherence of infection control policies and procedures. Ensure the working environment is clean and fit for purpose.
