PD&MS Group now has an excellent opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team on a full-time, employee basis. This role can be based in our Aberdeen or Glasgow office, with a flexible hybrid working model available along with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time
As the Lead Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1. Acting as the discipline focal point providing support across the business and client streams in Hydrogen, Decarbonisation, Oil and Gas, and Renewables.
2. Managing, contributing to, and supervising a team of discipline engineers responsible for the technical execution of engineering projects.
3. Managing, executing, and supporting discipline to deliver engineering and design of technical projects.
4. Providing engineering accountability in final signature and approval of deliverables.
5. Providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to all team members.
6. Resource management and progress reporting on deliverables and plan attainment.
7. Completing annual performance reviews.
8. Anticipating, managing, and resolving issues as the focal point of contact for the project discipline delivery.
9. Completing competence reviews and ensuring everyone within the team has a valid competence assessment.
10. Promoting and facilitating regular team communications to build good working relationships within the team.
11. Identifying and managing discipline-specific software and tools, ensuring they are controlled and maintained.
12. Working with the Head of Department to develop training and learning opportunities for the discipline.
13. Supporting the Head of Department and Quality Manager to ensure business systems and processes are adequate and match current and future requirements.
14. Executing all engineering in compliance with industry legislation, codes, standards, and PD&MS’s processes and procedures.
15. Having extensive experience and knowledge of industrial hazardous and non-hazardous areas electrical distribution and utility systems, and managing Change processes in brownfield modifications and new build environments.
16. Demonstrable knowledge of industry-specific systems, their design, and operational requirements, including drilling packages and utilities supporting legacy and new drilling systems, power generation (diesel and gas turbines).
17. Proactively seeking business development opportunities through client engagement when opportunities arise.
18. Supporting the Business Development team with sales strategies and marketing.
19. Contributing technically and commercially to Invitations to Tender to secure work and contracts.
20. Collaborating across all business units to deliver in the best interests of the group.
21. Performing work primarily at the company's offices, with occasional requirements to work at client sites or remote locations.
22. Ensuring the delivery of all discipline engineering and design, with designs that are suitable, robust, and compliant with PD&MS’s HSEQ processes and procedures.
23. Managing discipline KPIs, setting and agreeing on targets each financial year with the Head of Department.

About You:
You will have experience in:
1. EPC, Brownfield, and Greenfield projects.
2. Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking.
3. Understanding of all Engineering disciplines.
4. Knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards.
5. Application of Autodesk Design products.
6. Competency in MS Office applications.

Qualifications:
1. BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline.
2. Chartered Engineer status preferred.
3. Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & MIST (Preferred).
