You possess strong experience working with individuals with complex needs, demonstrating a solid understanding of complex physical disabilities. Your knowledge extends to up-to-date moving and handling techniques, including relevant equipment. You have excellent communication skills, are capable of building strong working relationships, and can confidently work on your own initiative. You're skilled in juggling a busy workload and maintaining credibility with professionals from partner agencies. Additional experience in providing equipment, major adaptations, and good IT skills would be advantageous. What the Job Involves This fixed-term, 2-year position involves supporting St Helens Council's moving with dignity project, with the aim to transition from double to single-handed care packages. You will conduct and complete moving and handling assessments, prepare detailed risk assessment reports, and offer training to both formal and informal carers. You will evaluate needs, devise care plans, and implement these plans while adhering to current legislation.
