Job Introduction
Procurement at the BBC is going through a significant transformation under the leadership of a new Procurement Director. The Senior Procurement Enablement Lead will oversee and manage transformational projects that drive process efficiencies and technology advancements. With the support of our technology team and the Procurement leadership team, the transformation lead will drive the change agenda, allowing for a transition to a commercial procurement team supported by excellent processes, tools and systems. The role will work closely with the Procurement Enablement Global Process Owners and Senior Managers to align on ways of working and transformation opportunities.
The role will lead on the transformation, digitalisation, automation and streamlining of processes to both align with industry best practice and to support department goals. The transformation lead has responsibility for leading change that enables Procurement to realise its objectives.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver Procurement transformation projects, including process improvements, digital transformation and compliance initiatives.
* Develop a transformation roadmap that supports the Procurement vision and identified enablers for Procurement and stakeholders across the BBC.
* Engage with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for transformation initiatives. Communicate progress, challenges and successes effectively.
* Track the progress of transformation initiatives, measure outcomes and report on project performance to senior leadership.
* Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful implementation of transformation initiatives.
* Encourage and support a culture that values continuous improvement. Provide Procurement teams with the guidance and resources they need to successfully navigate new processes and ways of working.
Are you the right candidate?
* Proven track record of leading and managing large-scale transformation initiatives, including digital transformation and process development.
* Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps that align with business goals and drive successful transformation outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and manage relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
* Deep understanding of change management principles and practices, with experience in guiding teams through significant changes and fostering a culture of adaptability.
* Change management skillset to understand what changes have to be made and how to drive them at every level.
* Project/Programme Management experience with related qualification.
* Comprehensive understanding of business and data analysis practices, tools and techniques such as requirements engineering, structured analysis and design, process mapping and business modelling.
* Demonstrable experience of policy implementation, best practice and process improvement with evidence of implementing process standardisation and improvements.
* Ability to simplify and translate complex problems, processes or projects into component parts and to explore them strategically and systematically.
* Effective communication skills, with an ability to influence and align a diverse group of senior stakeholders throughout the organisation.
* Experience of large ERP systems and associated processes (SAP ECC6, S4/Hana, SAP Analytics Cloud and BPC/AFO).
* Experience and extensive knowledge of business operations in a complex, global business, across multiple areas of finance and outsourced functions.
* Desirable - Professional qualification (MCIPS or similar).
