We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Despatch Manager to join our dedicated team and help drive our logistics and despatch operations to the next level.
Role Overview:
As a Despatch Manager, you will oversee the efficient, accurate, and timely dispatch of our products, ensuring that all processes are focussed on speed, quality, and service. You will lead and manage our existing despatch team, while working closely with other departments to streamline operations and meet our ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the despatch department, ensuring all orders are processed and shipped in a timely and efficient manner.
* Develop and implement best practices for despatch operations to improve productivity, reduce errors and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Manage and motivate a team of despatch employees providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to help them reach their full potential.
* Collaborate with stock management, warehouse and production teams to ensure smooth and efficient order fulfilment.
* Monitor and manage despatch KPIs, reporting on performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
* Oversee the safe and secure handling, packaging, and transportation of products, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any despatch-related issues or delays promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to customer deliveries.
* Ensure food safety compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to remain audit-ready at all times.
* Contribute to the development of a culture of integrity, collaboration and a "do the right thing" approach in all interactions
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department and wider company.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in a despatch management role, ideally within a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* A proactive and results-driven approach to operations.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
* A commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements:
* Fluent level of both verbal and written English
* Minimum 5 years’ experience within a similar role in a food manufacturing environment
* Level 3 Food Safety
