Job summary
This post will provide support to the Information Governance and Complaints team on a permanent basis. This will include supporting the management of Freedom Of Information Act requests, complaints and data subject rights requests in a timely manner.
The post holder will also be responsible for answering calls to the HRA mainline and directing queries to the appropriate team as well as other administrative duties including supporting meetings.
Home based requests will be considered.
Main duties of the job
The Information Governance & Mainline Support Assistant is responsible for:
1. Supporting the Information Governance & Complaints team in the handling of Freedom of Information requests, subject access requests, complaints, and other related matters.
2. Providing secretarial support to internal team meetings as required.
3. Answering the HRA mainline.
4. Providing general administrative support to the directorate.

* Degree level qualification or portfolio of evidence or equivalent level of experience or achievement.

* Information Governance related training or learning.

* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise against a background of change and frequently changing demands.

* An understanding of the principles which relate to data protection.

* Experience of working on a task which required focus, attention to detail and concentration.

* Experience of providing support to teams including compiling agendas and taking notes to a high standard with the ability to record detailed complex and often sensitive information accurately and clearly.
