Job summary Exciting opportunity for the post holder to join the Digital Portfolio Management Office (PMO). The PMO Manager is responsible for administering the change portfolio such that cost, quality, plan, time and benefits realisation are controlled and achieved, ensuring that all projects adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for project management. Operationally, the PMO Manager is responsible for providing information to enable project prioritisation, management information, financial reporting, resource planning, decision-making, and recruitment. The PMO Manager will play a key role in monitoring, supporting, and guiding Digital PMO team members to meet high quality, governance, and assurance standards internally and across the broader organisation. Digital Services is seeking to work towards developing centre of excellence and is looking for an experienced leader to manage the PMO function and implement best practices. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in leading complex digital and technology-driven healthcare projects and programs, along with a strong understanding of how to implement and adapt project management methodologies effectively. Flexible working, this role is a hybrid role the successful candidate will need to be based on site 2-3 days a week and travel across the NCA footprint. Main duties of the job The PMO Lead develops and implements best practices to enable the successful delivery of a broad range of IT and business change projects to stakeholders across the organisation. The main responsibilities of the PMO include ensuring that the portfolio delivery team adequately plans and executes scope and business case management, programme vision and blueprint development, benefits and quality management, stakeholder management, portfolio management, programme and project planning, including supporting strategic demand management through Infrastructure Architecture and Cyber and Governance teams; milestone management, risk and issues as part of core project/programme management functions, and working with key enabling teams, for example, change management, technical operations and vendor management activities to ensure the successful delivery. Financial management, maintaining risks, issues, assumptions, and action logs, resource forecasting, change control, dependency management, and programme reporting will be integral to delivering these responsibilities. Collaborate with various internal and external NCA stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and clients, to ensure alignment and transparency.
