About Us:
DEA Aviation are a specialised airborne operations company based at Gamston Airport in Retford. We have a team of just over 200 people and we are committed to the delivery of specialised aerial data via cutting edge mission systems installed on our aerial platforms.
We're looking to recruit a Level 3 Project & Programme Manager to join a new function within the business where you’ll be responsible for operating across all project lifecycle stages, in Growth, Delivery, Capability and Transformation. You will project manage the delivery of more complex or multiple solutions, products, services and business improvements by rigorously applying your project management knowledge and experience
Because you’ll be joining a brand new function, this is not a role for someone who wants to fit seamlessly into an already well established team as you will be expected to support the construction and development of the function. You’ll need to be ready to meet that challenge and deal with the issues and pitfalls that will crop up during this period.
This role is a hybrid role and will require you to work from both our Gamston Airport and Lincoln locations, with up to 2 days per week working from home, though you will be required to be flexible based on the needs of the business.
In a fairly small team, you’ll be visible and you’ll be expected to take proactive steps to manage your profile and approachability. You’ll need to remain positive and constructive when approaching the myriad challenges you’ll be confronted with as well as able to build high quality and high trust relationships with all of your stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
Working closely with Project Sponsors, Growth Leads or Delivery Leads, key duties and responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining project plans to inform necessary activity and resourcing of the business
* Engaging with Sponsors, Clients, Stakeholders, Vendors and Partners as a Project Management subject matter expert. Advising decision makers on project management approach and influencing the design of governance.
* Gaining commitment and then driving to deliver the scope, schedule, risk / opportunity and financial commitments
* Setting and Monitoring expected project performance and taking action to maintain benefits (quality, cost, delivery and risk / opportunity)
* Appropriately leading programmes and multiple project team governance
* Chairperson of appropriate project and programme reviews. Setting the agenda and pace.
* Managing change
* Engaging and Influencing stakeholders. Ensuring they are suitably managed
* Compiling concise and clear status reports. Ensuring stakeholders are suitably engaged and informed
* Leading and contributing to the continuous development, improvement and promotion of Project Management in DEA
What You Must Have:
* Project Management qualification (APM/Prince2 etc.)
* Substantial demonstrated experience in delivering high complexity projects or programmes
* Expertise (Highly skilled) in managing project scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources
* Strong leadership, organisational, influencing, communication, team building and problem-solving skills. Able to build teams and trust and to think critically.
* Able to build and maintain commitment from the team including, remote and hybrid members, vendors and partners. Including navigating delivery through uncertainty.
* Ability to integrate and manage complex programmes and / or multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience of integrating Customers, Vendor and / or Partners
* Good understanding of industry standard Project Methods and tools. Able to define appropriate new process and standards based experience and context
* Able to meet the criteria for UK MoD SC Clearance
* Able to commute to Gamston Airport and Lincoln
* Have permanent right to work in the UK
What We Can Offer You:
* A basic salary of £55,000 - £65,000 (DOE)
