SALARY: £34k-35k
HOURS: Full time (37.5 hours), flexible with occasional weekend and evening work
Reports to: Hub Service Manager
Direct Reports: Hub team: 2 Hub coordinators + 1 admin/ receptionist

The Role
The Autism Hub Manager will be responsible for managing the Autism Hub for Children and Young People (CYP) in partnership with the London Borough of Barnet. The hub aims to create a welcoming, safe, neuro-affirmative space for autistic individuals and their families to access support and social opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Overall responsibility for managing the service, ensuring careful planning and delivery.
2. Coordinate timetables of drop-ins, activities, workshops, and other service delivery areas.
3. Oversee and manage the general usage of the building, including room bookings.
4. Ensure high standards are met regarding Health & Safety, facilities, and other building-related duties.
5. Deliver occasional elements of direct support.
6. Promote the service to families, autistic individuals, and professionals.
7. Conduct home visits to assess and match individuals to relevant services.
8. Ensure a co-production approach, capturing views of experts by experience.
9. Line-manage Hub Access Officers and sessional staff.
10. Ensure efficient collaboration with other local agencies.
11. Work with Marketing to design promotional materials.
12. Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, communicating results to commissioners.
13. Contribute to the future direction of RfA.
14. Conduct risk assessments and maintain confidentiality.
15. Adhere to RfA's values and safeguarding policies.
Person Specification
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Minimum three years of experience working with autistic individuals and families.
2. A recognised qualification in health or social care relevant to this role.
3. Experience managing staff/volunteers and a management qualification.
4. Experience managing a venue/building with an understanding of H&S policies.
5. Experience running groups with autistic young people/adults and/or parent/carers.
6. Excellent communication skills adaptable to different populations.
7. Knowledge of local services in Barnet.
8. Excellent understanding of autism and behaviour support.
9. Good understanding of safeguarding policies.
