Manage the operational aspects of our reward and benefits packages and support in the management and maintenance of all reward and benefits activities and projects, to shape a modern and affordable reward and benefits package that enable us to attract and retain talent. About you We are looking for someone with: CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent Experience of role pricing, sizing and benchmarking Experience of working within Reward & Benefits in a People Services team and delivering related projects. Good knowledge of reward and benefits and an understanding of how reward ‘fits’ within the overall colleague offer. Role Profile Role model, champion and embed Our Riverside Way and ways of working, collaborating with People Services and business colleagues to achieve the Riverside aspired culture Provide first line advice on all areas of reward and benefits to colleagues and managers, escalating to the Reward & Benefits Manager as may be necessary First line responsibility for managing our approach to role pricing and benchmarking, working collaboratively with People Partners and managers to ensure a thorough understanding of the role, structure and business context to provide robust benchmarking and pricing. Keep appropriate records of roles priced and decision making to support any future/potential challenge and to ensure our approach is consistent and fair across the business, whilst recognising the different markets from which our roles are drawn Prepare and validate data and for external submissions, working collaboratively across People Services to ensure accurate and completed on time, e.g salary surveys, Group Life scheme and any benefit arrangements. Working with our subsidiaries (that are not within People Hub) as required to ensure completeness of data Support the Reward & Benefits Manager in managing contractual arrangements with external suppliers (eg survey providers, benefit providers, pensions), maintaining all contract documentation, renewal dates and invoicing Responsible for maintaining and delivering reward communications – ensuring information regarding our reward proposition is engaging, simple to use and readily accessible throughout a range of communication channels with a regular programme of review and updating, working collaboratively to update and keep current intranet site, Employee Value Proposition and Our Riverside Deal. All related policies are maintained and up to date Support the People Services Delivery teams in the management and implementation of cyclical reward and benefits activities, e.g pay review, Real Living Wage, pensions auto re-enrolment Support with Executive remuneration and benefits, undertaking benchmarking, market research or other activities as required Provide initial support to dependents on death in service cases, collating the requisite information according to our policy (pay, dependents etc) ready for the Reward Manager to report to the Trustees, actioning approved outcomes Manage reward and benefits using project or change management methodology to enabling the seamless delivery of change initiatives within and outside of People Services. Manage the successful handover post project completion to operational teams, developing processes and procedures, materials, supporting and upskilling colleagues to ensure successful knowledge transfer Proactively research best practice in reward and benefits, identifying areas for improvement and undertaking initial feasibility work To work collaboratively with colleagues in People Services and Finance on a range of matters such as costing reward initiatives, supporting data and costing for the pay review, supporting on future pensions initiatives as examples Support the People Services Team by helping to ensure that the Riverside People Strategy and Plans – together with underpinning frameworks and policies - are embedded and adhered to Maintain industry knowledge and expertise, keeping abreast of all developments and best practice in own area of expertise, identifying opportunities to contribute to and shape future decision making Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support the effective operation of the service. Demonstrable experience of investigating, benchmarking and research to build business cases and explore solution and risks. Producing clear, well-structured reports, frameworks and proposals with recommendations for senior leadership teams Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities, ability to work to own initiative without close supervision Experience in providing expert advice and guidance, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience and evidence of great stakeholder management Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel Desirable Understanding of social housing sector and the challenges it faces Evidence of continued professional development
