Job Opportunity: Structural Engineer
We are looking to strengthen our Engineering team with a Structural Engineer at Engineer, Senior, or Principal level, based at Hattersley or within any of our UK regions with hybrid working available.

You will report directly to the Structures Lead (Hattersley) and your role will provide superior quality Engineering Design services to allow the company to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. In order to ensure this, the individual must coordinate the design and produce Structural design documents and drawings, taking due account of health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards pertaining to the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production of structural design calculations for all aspects of Water Treatment and Sewage Treatment plants, including both new build and modifications to existing plants.
2. Review of structural content of construction drawings/models.
3. Review of subcontract design proposals.
4. Ensuring all work is considered for buildability, standardization, and DfMA, as well as ensuring safety on site in compliance with CDM regulations.
5. Reinforced concrete and steelwork design to all relevant Eurocodes and British Standards.
6. Coordination and liaison within a multi-discipline organization, including construction oversight and site support.
7. Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the discipline.
8. Resource planning and responsibility for project delivery within budget and programme.
9. Coordination of designs with other disciplines and use of resources, both internal and external.
10. Provide support to civil design staff.
11. Provide support to help develop junior staff.
12. Ensure designs take account of environmental issues.
13. Assist in improving processes and procedures.
14. Work collaboratively with our extended team in Pune, India.
