We are looking for an outstanding, forward-thinking consultant to join our family and help lead our service towards excellence. We have been pro-active in our response to the recent national maternity reports and recently completed a series of culture workshops, facilitated by the GMC and NMC. We are looking for a consultant that fits with our vision of safe Women's Health culture and leads this by example.
Applications are invited for a Consultant Gynaecologist with an interest in Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy and the TOP service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to contribute to emergency gynaecology and OOH on call cover. There will be weekly colposcopy clinics with corresponding admin time along with a fortnightly gynaecology theatre undertaking procedures matched to your skills. The case mix will also allow you to maintain competency in skills required to participate in the out of hours gynaecology rota.
The post holder will provide outstanding colposcopy care and contribute to the development of the colposcopy department and wider women's health team.
The post attracts 8 PAs (7 DCC, 1 SPAs).

Leading by example, you will demonstrate the trust values and help us to deliver outstanding care. Qualifications
Essential
* Full GMC registration
* Relevant CCT or equivalent (to be confirmed by GMC)
* Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
Desirable
* Higher degree (PhD or Master)
Clinical Experience
Essential
* Clinical training and experience in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology equivalent to that required for a UK CCT.
Desirable
* Experience of laparoscopic surgery
Teaching and Research
Essential
* Experience of teaching & supervising junior medical staff.
* Commitment to support research and development within the Trust R&D policy.
