We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Hire Controller to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As a Hire Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the hiring and management of equipment and machinery for our projects. Your expertise in logistics and customer service will play a crucial role in ensuring that our team has the necessary resources to complete projects on time and within budget. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
o Receiving and processing site requests by email & phone
o Processing hire orders, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions
o Build and maintain relationships with our customers and suppliers
o Provide expert advice on hire equipment and services
o Work closely with internal teams to maximise internal plant utilisation & operational efficiency
o You will be cross-hiring and sourcing equipment from third-party suppliers when our own stock is not available
o Scheduling transport requests with the in-house transport team
o Providing comparisons on high-value hires
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience as a Hire Controller or in a similar role within the construction or engineering sector.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hire management software.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of equipment specifications and maintenance practices is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* A team player with a positive attitude and a customer-focused mindset.
