Warehouse Team Leader
Location: Near Cwmbran
Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £33,000
My client, a reputable employer with a strong heritage based near Cwmbran, is looking to employ a Warehouse Team Leader in this exciting permanent opportunity. The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for ensuring efficient control and movement of raw material and finished goods inventory into, through, and from the warehouse. A passion for stock accuracy and inter-departmental support is paramount. Ensuring the movement of materials is carried out in a controlled and timely manner, whilst liaising with all dependent areas.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Oversee efficient management of warehouse operations
2. Safe and timely stock management, including regular racking inspections
3. KPI reporting and analysis with a view to improving overall effectiveness of the team
4. Ensure accurate stock control across the site including regular cycle counting
5. Support for H&S activities within the Operations team
6. Liaison with multiple freight forwarders and hauliers to ensure prompt collection and onward delivery to customer and subcontract sites
7. Responsibility for developing skills and competencies within the Warehouse team. Performance management as appropriate.
8. Efficient issuing of raw material against internal and subcontract works orders
9. Ensure preparation of finished goods for on-time dispatch to customers across the globe
10. Liaison with other teams both on-site and internationally
11. Management of off-site storage facility
12. Review of OA checklists with Ops team regarding ship dates and stock availability
In order to be successful you will need:
1. High attention to detail; ability to accurately follow assembly instructions
2. Experience of ERP systems and MS Office
3. Forklift licence
4. Warehouse and Despatch experience
5. Highly motivated and dedicated to exceed customer expectations
6. Basic numerical and verbal ability; GCSE grade C in Maths and English or equivalent
7. Experience of working to tight timescales, to meet key production deadlines
8. Flexibility in dealing with changing priorities
9. Ability to meet all production and quality standards
*The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a highly regulated environment e.g., automotive, medical, aerospace, or similar.
