The post is responsible for the coordination of worldwide sailing activity and training, which is delivered to over 4000 service personnel per year; the management of all sailing staff; and the safe, efficient and effective delivery of all sailing output. Person specification It is essential that candidates are currently qualified as Royal Yachting Association Ocean Skipper and Yachtmaster Instructor, or able to qualify as the Yachtmaster Instructor with significant experience of managing, delivering and assuring the RYA offshore training scheme. They Must Also Demonstrate Ocean level sailing experience. A thorough understanding and practical experience of Safety Management Systems, including risk assessment Successful line management of multiple employees. A Yachtmaster Examiner qualification is desirable, and enthusiasm, energy and leadership skills will be required to generate and maintain interest in offshore sailing and manage JSASTC Gosport staff in the delivery of training. Licences UK Driving License Qualifications Applicants must be a minimum of RYA Yachtmaster Ocean and in date Yachtmaster Instructor, or able to qualify as the Yachtmaster Instructor.
