Assembly Technician - Electro-Mechanical

Are you an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician looking for a unique opportunity to work on bespoke systems? We are recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join a growing team, assembling high-precision machines and instruments.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly of bespoke systems, cable looms, and electrical control panels from detailed drawings and kit lists. This role involves working in a small team, ensuring precision and accuracy in every build. The position also offers the opportunity for on-site maintenance and support across the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Precision assembly of prototype machines and instruments.
* Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels.
* Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
* High-standard soldering, including high-voltage networks.
* Functional testing of equipment using industry-standard tools.
* On-site maintenance and support (UK and international) - desirable.
Requirements:
* Strong experience in electro-mechanical assembly and soldering.
* Background in nuclear assay instrumentation or precision laboratory equipment.
* Ability to work collaboratively in small teams.
* Understanding of ISO 9001 standards and 5S methodologies (preferred).
* Must meet safety and security standards for working in nuclear environments.
* Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant electrical/mechanical engineering qualification.
* Experience working with high-precision equipment.
* Comfortable working at heights and using lifting equipment (preferred).
