TEAM LEADER
Hours: Full time (37.5 per week)
Shifts: Days, Nights and Afternoons rotating (17% in addition to hourly rate)
Pay: Depends on experience ranging from £21.40 to £23.60
Pay basis: Weekly paid
Other: Call out (Requirement to be on call on rotation, full payment details TBC)
Our client based in Sheffield, a leading Manufacturing business in the Medical Equipment sector is looking to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader into the business.
What we want from the person (Key):
1. They need to be adaptable and enjoy the challenge of variety.
2. They need to be able to quickly demonstrate aptitude - we want someone who can hit the ground running and get stuck in.
3. They need experience from within a maintenance background, ideally with a variety of equipment.
4. They can demonstrate practical experience (at interview they may for example be asked to explain what a drawing is showing or how they would approach a task).
5. They need to be able to react to changes in work priorities without compromise in quality.
6. They need to demonstrate a proven, systematic approach to problem solving.
What you will do:
1. Plan work on a daily and weekly basis to achieve the current plan.
2. Liaise with internal customers and suppliers to prioritise workload.
3. Ensure sufficient hours are available to achieve the plan.
4. Supervise and develop team members.
5. Facilitate team meetings.
6. Instigate first level disciplinary procedures.
7. Audit Health & Safety equipment in line with schedule.
8. Ensure all work carried out is in accordance with relevant Health & Safety guidelines.
9. Ensure sufficient spares for critical plant and general use are available in Maintenance stores.
10. Ensure Stores and Maintenance department are kept clean and safe.
11. Liaise with all departments to ensure preventative maintenance tasks can be completed within the relevant time scales.
12. Audit department and quality of work on a daily basis.
13. Be responsible for data ownership (drawings, manuals etc.).
14. Facilitate Continuous Improvement activities.
15. Ensure the company's quality policy is understood and implemented.
16. Maintain a clean working environment.
17. Monitor and review maintenance team for performance, training and future development. Steer team towards improvements in safety and performance.
Education Qualifications:
1. High School or Equivalent (Required), Apprenticeship (preferred)
Experience qualifications:
1. Proven hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic industrial experience (Required)
2. Recognised Electrical training/ experience.
3. Fault finding across a variety of control systems.
4. Reading and interpreting drawings.
