Full-Time (37 hours per week) Based at the Broadwater Campus - Worthing We are seeking to appoint a Curriculum Manager to be responsible for the line management of designated curriculum teams (16-18 Classroom Based and Adult Learning/ Apprenticeships/ Higher Education/ Commercial) in the Construction & Engineering Department at the Broadwater Campus. Courses are delivered in Carpentry and Joinery, Engineering, Electrical Installation and Brickwork & Trowel Occupations. Our Construction and Engineering centre at Broadwater is well equipped with workshops, tools and machinery and the team all have vast industry experience which has maintained high standards and excellent pass rates and allowed us to produce graduates who bring a high level of technical skill and confidence into the industry. You will be responsible for managing the performance of teams through the undertaking of appraisals, probationary reviews, return to work meetings, absence review meetings, and the setting of performance targets in line with College policies, procedures and targets. You will also be required to deliver high quality teaching, learning and undertake assessment and manage student performance within required teaching allocation. You will require a high level of professional specialist sector/subject knowledge, and experience of delivering at least one of the sector subject specialisms offered within construction and engineering - and we would especially welcome applications from candidates with a background in brickwork and trowel occupations. You will also require a demonstrable track record of delivering high quality and successful teaching, learning and assessment and an understanding and knowledge of curriculum organisation and administration within Further/ Higher Education. You should hold an academic qualification at Level 5 / Level 6, or a professional qualification equivalent in a relevant subject area and a relevant vocational qualification at Level 3/ Level 4 or above.
