About the Post
To support, coordinate, promote and raise the profile of the Students’ Union work related to education and course representatives. The post holder will work with elected officers, students, Students’ Union staff, QMUL and relevant external bodies to ensure that their campaigns and events are researched, student-led and achieve their objectives. To provide developmental and day-to-day support to the Executive Officers, part time officers and the subcommittees.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings a positive attitude when working with students and is passionate about improving the student experience. The role is student-facing, and you’ll be working closely with the elected student representatives and students in general, so it is essential that you have a good understanding of the needs of students, have excellent communication skills and can meet our students in an approachable and empathetic way. You’ll deliver training, support campaigning work, conduct desk-based research and produce briefings for our elected student reps. You’ll also coordinate the course rep system and work proactively with key contacts in the university to ensure the course rep system is running smoothly and provides effective representation for all students at course level.
