Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Andover, Hampshire
This is a full-time and permanent role working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:45.
Salary: Up to 35,000 (depending on experience)
About the Role:
I have been instructed to recruit an Experienced Quality Inspector to join our client's team in Andover, Hampshire. The ideal candidate will be a UK national with strong local connections, ensuring they are well-integrated into the community and committed to the role. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading manufacturing business known for its commitment to quality and excellence.
As a Quality Inspector, you will be pivotal in maintaining the highest production standards. You'll play a critical role in ensuring that products meet stringent specifications and quality benchmarks while supporting lean manufacturing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Monitoring:
1. Perform inspection stages defined in production procedures.
2. Monitor and ensure assembly methods align with best practices.
3. Identify and document non-conformances, supporting the Materials Review Board as needed.
Testing & Validation:
1. Observe and record Product Validation Tests.
2. Review and sentence Radiographic Examinations to required standards.
3. Conduct final inspections of products and ensure compliance with specifications.
Process Improvement:
1. Recommend improvements to enhance production quality.
2. Support sustainable improvement activities and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting:
1. Record job progression and inspection stages in the business system.
2. Review and approve test documentation for work completion.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Inspect received components to ensure compliance with specifications.
2. Perform visual and dimensional checks on final packaged products.
3. Investigate non-conformance issues and propose corrective actions.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Extensive experience with manufacturing processes, quality standards, and mechanical component inspection.
2. Proficiency in electrical or fibre optic testing and X-Ray interpretation.
3. Ability to read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings.
4. Skilled in using manual inspection and calibration tools.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and fault-finding skills.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. A team-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive approach to challenges.
8. Experience working in accordance with industry safety standards.
