Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Andover, Hampshire
This is a full-time and permanent role working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:45.
Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
About the Role:
I have been instructed to recruit an Experienced Quality Inspector to join our client's team in Andover, Hampshire. The ideal candidate will be a UK national with strong local connections, ensuring they are well-integrated into the community and committed to the role. As a Quality Inspector, you will be pivotal in maintaining the highest production standards. You'll play a critical role in ensuring that products meet stringent specifications and quality benchmarks while supporting lean manufacturing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Monitoring:
Perform inspection stages defined in production procedures.
Monitor and ensure assembly methods align with best practices.
Identify and document non-conformances, supporting the Materials Review Board as needed.Testing & Validation:
Observe and record Product Validation Tests.
Review and sentence Radiographic Examinations to required standards.
Conduct final inspections of products and ensure compliance with specifications.Process Improvement:
Recommend improvements to enhance production quality.
Support sustainable improvement activities and lean manufacturing initiatives.Documentation & Reporting:
Record job progression and inspection stages in the business system.
Review and approve test documentation for work completion.Additional Responsibilities:
Inspect received components to ensure compliance with specifications.
Perform visual and dimensional checks on final packaged products.
Investigate non-conformance issues and propose corrective actions.Skills & Experience Required:
Extensive experience with manufacturing processes, quality standards, and mechanical component inspection.
Proficiency in electrical or fibre optic testing and X-Ray interpretation.
Ability to read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings.
Skilled in using manual inspection and calibration tools.
Exceptional attention to detail and fault-finding skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A team-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive approach to challenges.
