About the role
This is a unique opportunity to join our team in a dual role as both a Support Worker (3 days / week) and an Events Organiser for our Memory Lane Cafés (2 days / week). This is a full-time permanent position, based in Winnellie, NT. Reporting directly to the Team Leader Client Services, you will be responsible for:
* Facilitating activities for people living with dementia and providing opportunities for involvement to maintain their skills and abilities and promote personal choice.
* Assisting in the development of individual support plans where appropriate and maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the person’s wellbeing needs.
* Attending and facilitating Memory Lane Café's and coordinating the running of the events.
* Managing event logistics such as entertainment, activities, catering, and venue bookings; handling event communications, invitations, and inquiries; and offering administrative assistance, including client data entry.
* Providing administration support including data entry of client information into databases.
* Building strong stakeholder relationships with both internal and external partners including volunteers, clients, external suppliers, and community partners.
* Frequent local travel to MLC Events; occasionally outside of business hours.

About you
* Certificate III in Aged Care or demonstrated equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated experience in an administration role with an event management focus.
* Previous experience in a Support Worker role (or similar) within a community or respite service.
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of the impacts of dementia for individuals, carers, and their support networks.
* Fosters teamwork by working together and cooperatively.
* Builds, fosters and sustains relationships (internally and externally).
* Understands and uses available technologies and information to maximise efficiencies.
* Uses effective time management skills to plan, evaluate and organise work demands.
* Qualifications and/or experience in Business Administration or Event Management would be highly regarded.
* Full driver's licence is required for local travel.
