The housekeeper will promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, friendly, and able to address problems or special requests. The Housekeeper must understand his/her role as a brand ambassador and provide positive brand experiences to all customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. No education required, we will train one on one
2. Ability to follow instruction
3. Good communication skills are an asset
4. Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
5. Flexibility is key; this role will include working weekends

DUTIES:
1. Clean a set amount of guest bedrooms/public areas according to Sandman Hotels standards
2. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products, and the correct handling procedures
3. Respond to guests and staff inquiries, requests, and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner
4. Ensure all lost property items are handled in line with company policy
5. Report all maintenance and safety hazards promptly to the Supervisor/Manager to minimize hazard risk
6. Take personal responsibility for equipment, ensuring it is operated correctly and secured at all times
7. Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
8. Perform laundry tasks when necessary, including collecting, sorting, and transporting laundry at the beginning of each shift
9. Stock linen supply room with clean linens for use for the next day
10. Perform Linen Porter duties if required
11. Perform additional tasks as directed by Housekeeping supervisor
