Job Description:
KPMG is enhancing its Tax and Legal practice by expanding our ability to offer support to our clients in connection to their pensions obligations. Our pensions team works alongside over 2,400 Tax and Legal colleagues, and the new roles we are adding will focus on delivering advice across our client base on pensions provision and related issues concerning ongoing operations and transactions.
We are seeking talented and experienced Consultants to join our pensions actuarial team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality actuarial pensions advice related to defined benefit pension schemes in the private sector.
You will work closely with senior team members, providing:
* Strategic planning and risk management for self-sufficiency or buyout, including surplus use.
* Strategic funding advice to sponsors and compliance with DB funding code.
* Pension due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
* Member education and communication.
* Advice on benefit changes, design, and implementation.
* Governance and compliance advice.
* Pensions accounting advice.
Description of the Role
* Understand defined benefit pension schemes and actuarial liability calculations.
* Understand pension accounting.
* Analyze client data using actuarial techniques and models.
* Produce technical actuarial work adhering to standards and quality procedures.
* Assess reasonableness of assumptions and results using tools.
* Generate initial reports/emails from outputs.
* Support case management and administrative tasks.
* Ensure timely delivery of client projects.
* Develop technical expertise.
* Maintain open communication within the team.
* Manage financial aspects like billing and debt collection.
