Job Role: Nursery Assistant and Playworker - Weybridge
Hours: 10-6.30pm (split between nursery and school clubs)
This is a shared Nursery Assistant & Playworker position between both the nursery and school. The hours are 10 - 3 in the school nursery and then 3 - 6:30 in the after-school club. The same hours will be given within the school holidays at our holiday club.
Role Overview:
This is a unique opportunity to work as a Nursery Support Assistant / Playworker across two exceptional settings:
1. Early Years Education at the Nursery School during term time.
2. Wraparound Childcare throughout the year.
This dual role offers the variety to develop your skills across early years and wraparound settings, supporting children's development in different contexts. You will play a pivotal role in creating consistent, high-quality learning and care, fostering strong relationships with children, families, and staff across both organisations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Childcare or equivalent.
2. Experience in Early Years settings with a focus on play-based learning.
3. Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
4. Proficiency in MS Office 365 and communication tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom).
5. Strong interpersonal, organisational, and observational skills.
6. Knowledge of EYFS and regulation frameworks.
7. Proven ability to plan, organise and deliver engaging and stretching activities for children of all ages.
Desirable:
1. Experience in independent schools.
2. Working with children with additional needs.
3. Familiarity with online learning journals.
4. A clean driving license.
