Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of an East London-based law firm who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wills & Probate/Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their team. This full-time position is office-based, and are looking for newly qualified candidates or those with up to 3 years of post-qualification experience.Job Title: Private Client Solicitor (Wills & Probate)Location: East London (Office-based)Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on Experience)Company Overview - The firm are a well-established and respected firm based in East London, specializing in various areas of law, including conveyancing (residential and commercial), litigation, family law, and private client services. Due to recent growth, they are expanding the private client team and are looking for a skilled Private Client Solicitor to join us.Role Overview : - As a key member of the private client team, you will be responsible for a range of duties, including estate administration (both probate and intestacy), applying for grants of representation, preparing inheritance tax returns, drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (both Finance & Property and Health & Welfare), and managing Court of Protection deputyship cases.
You will have direct contact with clients, so a confident and empathetic approach is essential.Key Responsibilities:Estate administration, including probate and intestacy casesApplying for grants of representationDrafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), including both Finance & Property and Health & Welfare LPAsManaging inheritance tax returns and providing related adviceHandling Court of Protection deputyship casesRegular client interaction, offering clear and sensitive adviceWork closely with other team members, providing collaborative support and sharing knowledgeKey Requirements:Newly qualified Solicitor (NQ) or up to 3 years PQE in Private Client lawExperience in handling estate administration, Will drafting, inheritance tax returns, and LPAsStrong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Administration of Estates ActClient-facing experience with a sensitive and professional approachStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality serviceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills with a positive, proactive, and confident attitudeIf thisPrivate Client Solicitor role sounds like an opportunity of interest, please feel free to reach out to Lloyd Stanley.
