Join our friendly team as a Part-Time Paramedic Prescriber at Mountain View Health Centre.
The hours are Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day.
The Paramedic Prescriber plays a pivotal role in enhancing the level of care provided to patients through advanced practice interventions. This role involves autonomously managing complete episodes of clinical care across all age groups and demographics, encompassing a wide range of clinical conditions, diagnosing, treating, and referring patients as appropriate. The Paramedic operates within a multi-disciplinary team and is instrumental in mentoring and supporting both nursing staff and trainee practitioners.
Key responsibilities include the application of advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe, and advise patients across a variety of settings including face-to-face, telephone, and e-consultations, ensuring the use of evidence-based practice. The Paramedic will also lead in the development of new services and pathways to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes. This role requires dynamic clinical leadership and activities to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the practice.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Experience of working within a clinical team, preferably at a GP surgery.
* Registration with the HCPC Prescribing Registration Number.
Experience

* Previous experience in a GP surgery/Primary care in the UK, focusing on managing long-term conditions and minor illnesses.
* Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
