We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager for a brand new role on behalf of our client based in Durham.
This role will be based out in the field as well as office based when required. We are looking for a tenacious individual to hunt down new business opportunities and work closely with the rest of the commercial team.
This is a permanent role, working hours are Monday-Thursday 08.00am-05.00pm and Fridays 08.00am-02.30pm.
The role will involve creating a simple sales plan, with a laser focus on a target market. Suitable candidates will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential customers, and driving growth for the company.
You will manage your own time and calendar, ensuring that you focus on the tasks and functions that deliver your objectives.
Salary £45,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance + bonus.
Duties of the role include:
* Research and identify new business opportunities through market analysis, lead generation, and networking
* Generate leads and prospect potential customers through cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and other appropriate channels
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders
* Develop proposals and pitches tailored to the specific needs of prospective customers
* Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling value propositions
* Negotiate terms, contracts, and pricing agreements with customers to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives
* Expand the company's market presence by identifying new target markets, geographic regions, or industry verticals for growth
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals
* Track and analyse sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and business development KPIs to measure progress and identify areas for improvement
* Undertake additional duties as requested by the Commercial Director
