As a Functional Specialist, you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service for the claimant.

Your New Role:
1. As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will manage caseloads from end to end which includes delivering face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports (PBR).
2. You will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.
3. You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments.
4. You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic.
2. 1+ years post qualification experience.
3. Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
4. Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.
