About the role This individual will play a key role in project managing the development and delivery of high profile change initiatives taking place across Nucleus. Working in the Finance function you will bring strong management skills to support complex change initiatives being both led and supported by Finance, helping us deliver great customer outcomes. This will be a hands-on role including: planning across multiple deliverables, governance, co-ordination, communication, and working effectively with our strategic platform provider. You will possess a track record of delivering complex projects. Transformation is a large scale and complex programme of work, and already in flight and you’ll need to be able to "hit the ground running". This is an exciting and varied role and a great opportunity to play a part in the transformation of the Nucleus platform as we move towards becoming ‘best loved’ in the marketplace. Responsibilities Forming part of our dedicated Finance change team, you will play a crucial role in important change initiatives such as our platform transformation programme, being responsible for: Managing and delivering complex scope within the Transformation programme across the full development lifecycle. Managing and influencing stakeholders across the business at all levels Identifying the skills and resources needed for project delivery Managing third parties to deliver to their commitments for our business Being fully compliant with project governance, reporting and tracking Defining the delivery scope appropriately, employing techniques for scope traceability Reviewing and monitoring progress against project plans to ensure outputs are delivered to time, budget and quality specifications Within the project, engaging with assurance reviews and the implementation of review recommendations Managing risks, issues and resources to ensure milestone dates are achieved Managing project scope, applying the defined change management processes when required Reporting project progress in line with stated policies and procedures within the organisation, including ensuring that any requests for information are answered in a timely manner Establishing teams, in consultation with other parts of the organisation, to ensure efficient delivery and responsibility for the efficient running of these teams by setting project objectives and working within a matrix management environment. Communicating regularly with stakeholders and sponsors. Setting and managing stakeholder expectations on timelines and ownership of outputs at various phases. Working with our 3rd party partners, in particular FNZ to ensure creation and execution of a successful platform implementation plan and associated supporting documents. Coordinating activities and tasks among program teams, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet program goals Demonstrating effective use of suitable methods and lifecycles, including coaching to business teams and less experienced colleagues About you Your friends might describe you as the ‘purposeful one’. We’ve always placed more importance on cultural contribution above technical ability, but we’d really like you to have: Proven delivery within large scale Change/Transformation programmes Experience of wealth management and pensions industry Understanding of Information Technology systems within a Financial Services platform environment. Experience of working with outsourced partners and providers. Project planning experience across complex deliveries Ability to work well under pressure and manage solutions during difficult situations Experience of Change Delivery within the Financial Services industry Desirable Previous experience of people and operational change.
