We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our dedicated team. Reporting to the Head of Facilities Services PFI/BSF, you will lead the effective delivery of property and facilities management services within a prestigious Health Centre and Education Facility. Your role will encompass overseeing of FM services, including Health and Safety, environmental management, budget planning and reconciliation, compliance, and lifecycle and maintenance activities. Additionally, you will manage a skilled team of Senior Site Supervisors and Site Supervisors, ensuring the highest standards in all operations.
Both facilities are located in Blackpool.
What you will be doing?
1. Ensuring agreements and contracts are delivered through Service delivery plans
2. Manage all FM services including Health and Safety, Environment, Annual Budgets, Budget Reconciliation, Compliance and General PPM / Reactive Works / Lifecycle
3. Lead, manage and develop a team of Facilities Support Officers/Supervisors delivering Hard FM services within designated PFI properties
4. Manage a team of external sub-contractors delivering both planned and reactive services to designated PFI properties.
5. Ensure contract performance through monitoring, and presentation of Monthly reports
6. Liaise with building occupiers exercising local initiatives in meeting needs and resolving problems with agreed policies and procedures.
7. Take an active role in any new schemes or refurbishments.
8. Manage complaints, security breaches and health and safety issues in full
9. Actively participate in local In-House Management/Multi-Disciplinary meetings, working parties and ad hoc committees as required, e.g. Security Forum to aid business improvement.
10. Responsible for security of properties including alarm systems, and liaising with the client about building security issues/concerns.
11. Nominated Officer responsible for health and safety and fire precaution including on-site management and ensuring these requirements are carried out in accordance with client policies.
12. Conduct formal Health & Safety (Inc COSHH), Compliance and Contractors inspections ensuring all follow up actions are completed.
13. Monitor cleaning standards and liaising with Infection Control Lead regarding any issues raised.
14. Complete risk assessments and Method Statements as required.
15. Negotiate with external suppliers to ensure competitive prices for items of equipment and supplies.
16. Ensure meter readings are recorded and monitor the building management system to ensure settings are optimised and issues identified promptly.
What we're looking for?
Aligned to our ethos and values, the successful candidate must have ;
17. Facilities management experience - ideally hard and soft services
18. Extensive knowledge of PFI/LIFT service contracts and managing the performance of suppliers and contractors
19. Excellent communication skills
20. Experience of managing and developing teams
21. Ability to influence and motivate people to achieve results
22. Commercial knowledge - managing budgets etc.
23. Someone who is great at stakeholder management and client relationships
