HEAD OF CORPORATE SERVICES

Salary Scale: £69,115 to £77,016 per annum
Location: Hybrid (regular attendance is required at NIAO Belfast headquarters and client sites)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA .
1. At least 3 years’ post qualification and current membership of one of the following bodies:
* Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy
* One of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants (CAI, ICAEW, ICAS etc.)
* Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
* Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
* Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland OR equivalent international accountancy qualification.
Technical competence
2. At least 3 years’ experience, during your career to date in a senior management* role with responsibility in two or more of the following areas:
(a) financial planning and budgeting;
(b) financial accounting/auditing;
(c) management accounting and cost analysis;
(d) financial services and corporate governance; or
(e) development/implementation of financial/IT systems.
*Senior management level is defined as experience gained
• reporting to at least Assistant Director grade (or equivalent); or
• holding a post equivalent to that of a Grade 7 within the Northern Ireland Civil Service.
Decision making/judgement
3. Experience of analysing complex financial and performance information and providing reports for key stakeholders to inform effective decision making and organisational performance and development.
4. Application of sound corporate governance to support the delivery of business objectives and organisational performance.
Resource planning and budgeting
5. Demonstrate evidence of achieving significant measurable improvement at organisational level across a range of activities within budget constraints.
Leadership skills
6. Evidence of a proven ability to develop, motivate and lead teams.
Communication skills
7. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders.
