Job Summary
At Rio’s piri Piri Marylebone we’re introducing the concept of breakfast and looking for a morning chef to accommodate this. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food production and safety standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, creating innovative menus, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served in our restaurant. This role requires a blend of culinary expertise and the ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production.
2. Develop and design creative menus that reflect current food trends and customer preferences.
3. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
4. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment.
5. Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
6. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
7. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
8. Manage kitchen operations during peak hours, ensuring timely service without compromising quality.
Skills
1. Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
2. Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen teams.
3. Excellent knowledge of food production techniques and food safety regulations.
4. Creative flair for menu development and presentation.
5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
7. A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.10-£14.82 per hour
