About the role
As an Assistant Branch Merchandiser, you'll support the Space & Branch Merchandising Team to drive profitable Macro and Micro Space decisions throughout the business whilst working collaboratively with the Retail teams to provide store specific stock packages for key customer moments.
* Support key actions and decisions to drive sales and profit and minimise markdown risk.
* Work collaboratively with the rest of the Central Planning Team, Trading floor and wider business to build commercial relationships, identifying opportunities and risks.
* Proactively collate divisional space plans and fixture layouts working with the Trading Teams and Visual Merchandising to deliver effective space planning.
* Conduct regular review meetings with key stakeholders, escalating risks to Senior Space & Branch Merchandiser.
* Support the Space & Branch Merchandiser on developing solutions to optimise top/bottom performing stores, working collaboratively with Stock Placement to influence effective stock levels.
* Analyse exception reporting to highlight risk and opportunity stores to the Retail Field Team & Trading teams.
* Lead store visits with the Retail Field Team, developing your knowledge on individual Store Profiling and influencing Micro Space Plan, Grading and Profiling to become the expert in your area.
* Drive the preparation of event analysis to understand customer and store behaviour, reviewing grading/banding structures to support best stock placement, reduce markdown and optimise sales & profit opportunities.
* Be the point of contact for the Retail Field team, working collaboratively to ensure timely and appropriate resolution.
* Plan and co-ordinate ranging, stock and option build targets for New Stores, Closures and Resites coordinating with Store Development on critical paths to support pre and post investment, highlighting opportunities and risks to the Senior Branch Merchandiser.
* Attend regular team meetings, presenting key information and offering suggestions ideas and solutions to manage risk and opportunities.

About You
* Previous experience within a Merchandising or similar role would be beneficial
* Able to communicate effectively within the team and the wider business, building strong collaborative relationships
* Experience of internal and external stakeholder management
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
