OTE: £345 for a Long Day Sleep 24-Hour Shift

Shift Hours:
- Long Day: 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
- Waking Night: 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
- Day Shift with Attached Sleep In: 08:00 AM - 11:00 PM
We offer block shift bookings for Long Day Sleeps (e.g., 3, 4, or 5 consecutive days).
In this role, you will be working with children aged 8 to 18 in the community, providing essential support and care. You will typically work in a minimum 2:1 ratio to ensure the safety and well-being of the young service user.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining detailed records of the young person's emotions, interactions with peers and family members, and daily routines, including food diaries. You will actively engage in activities with the young person and assist in managing their finances, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
You will also need to identify and report any safeguarding issues to promote the young person's development and stability. The role involves addressing challenging behaviours, mental health issues, and disabilities, so prior experience in these areas is advantageous.
We provide comprehensive online training, including TMVA training, to equip you with the skills needed to de-escalate heightened situations effectively. It is essential to maintain a professional relationship with the local authority and Prospero to ensure a positive partnership.
- Support vulnerable children with varying mental health challenges.
- Assist in completing care plans, risk assessments, reviews, and incident reports.
- Provide physical and emotional support, including household tasks and personal care.
- Implement individual programmes that promote learning, independence, and life experiences.
- Build strong relationships with children while delivering high levels of care and support.
- Support daily routines, from morning activities to outings.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, and external healthcare professionals while adhering to company policies and procedures.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A current DBS Certificate (we can assist with the application process).
- A driving licence is preferred due to varied location assignments.
- A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a related subject is desirable.

- Mileage reimbursement at 45p per mile for travel during shifts.
