To be successful as a DB2 Systems Programmer, you should have experience with:
1. Installation, maintenance, and upgrade of the IBM DB2 product and related products (DB2 CA, DB2 connect, Data Studio, etc).
2. Excellent understanding of Mainframe operating system tools: TSO, JCL, REXX, SQL, etc.
3. Practical experience working as a DB2 Systems Programmer.
4. Strong understanding of system performance and monitoring techniques.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
1. Experience with Dev Ops tooling e.g. VS Code, Db2 Developer extensions, etc.
2. Experience with z/OSMF.
3. Experience with Broadcom and IBM Db2 tools.
4. Experience with Db2 internal and RACF Security.

1. Build Engineering: Development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions to fulfill business requirements ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use.
2. Incident Management: Monitoring of IT infrastructure and system performance to measure, identify, address, and resolve any potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages.
3. Automation: Development and implementation of automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
4. Security: Implementation of secure configurations to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks and vulnerabilities.
5. Teamwork: Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT Infrastructure requirements.
6. Learning: Stay informed of industry technology trends and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities.
