The Role
The posts requires you to provide a full administrative and secretarial service to a multi disciplinary team including the management of information systems and the co-ordination of the clinical referral system. You will be required to work as part of a departmental team but be able to work independently using her/his own initiative and flexibility in the daily decision making on behalf the department.

What we'll need you to bring
1. RSA3/SVQ3/NC in Secretarial Studies or equivalent
2. Proficient IT Skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
3. Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and work on own initiative
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
5. Excellent time management skills
6. Ability to work under pressure
7. Secretarial experience in an equivalent position
It would be great if you also have
8. Audio Typing
9. Knowledge of medical terminology
10. Ability to present outgoing correspondence to a high standard
11. Ability to work as part of a team

Please note this is a fixed term post for 18 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Coathill Hospital within Specialist Children's Health Services Unit
The working pattern for this role will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
