THE ROLE
The Account Executive is responsible for supporting the Account Manager in generating revenues from agencies and direct clients creating sales propositions/ decks, processing the won campaigns, campaign management as well as developing and retaining existing business for the BBC.
Responsibilities:
1. Supports the Account Manager by developing account plans for key agencies and clients and ensuring that BBC channels are kept informed of all new programme releases and planned product development through pitching/presentations and close communication.
2. Using the internal tools to build TV and Digital mediaplans for all the briefs/RFPs
3. Identifies prospective sales opportunities by gathering market information and intelligence from a variety of sources and implements all opportunities in Salesforce.
4. With guidance, manages all aspects of the sales cycle (prospect to purchase order) to close sales opportunities successfully
5. Collaborates with the Sales Operations team so campaigns adhere to to sales processes and policies to enforce compliance and good trading standards with agencies.
6. Monitors advertising activities on competitive channels and shares information gained with the sales team and Regional Director
7. Works with team to supply regular performance information to clients during campaigns and suggests optimisations to current and future campaigns.
8. Ensures that all rights granted within contracts have been confirmed as available for the length of the licence period and do not conflict with any existing sales agreements in the territory or with other BBC divisions.
9. Assists clients and agencies in organising hospitality and trade events and attend these to represent the BBC as required
10. Monitoring the payments/invoices paid by working closely with the Finance/Invoicing team, chasing for unpaid invoices, provide a weekly status to the RD on overdue payments.
11. Attending clients calls/meetings and collecting the information for the follow ups with the clients and extracting this info to brief Storyworks/Marketing/props/Insight teams.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA;
12. Experience working within administrative sales support, preferably in a media environment.
13. Ability to cope well under pressure in a busy sales environment.
14. Understanding of contractual and rights procedures within media sales.
15. An understanding of the European television and production markets with a proven working knowledge of the territories.
16. Interest in entertainment programming and production processes.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA;
17. Fluency in an additional European language is desirable

Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 + London Weighting (£5,319) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location: Office Base is London, Television Centre. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working
