Education and Academic Services There are two part-time (0.8 FTE) posts available immediately on a permanent basis. The Education Support Team provides core and critical operational support for clinical and academic teaching activity for students in all five years of the BMBS Medicine programme in Devon. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills to help us deliver high quality administration of the clinical skills teaching sessions and exams for all five years of the BMBS (Medical) Programme in Devon. You will be responsible for scheduling and supporting teaching sessions and exams in Heavitree Hospital. You will be expected to provide administrative support and act as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. You will work effectively and flexibly within a wider administrative team in a busy environment to deliver an excellent, customer focused and seamless service. The role requires a flexible individual with strong communication skills, and excellent attention to detail. You will use advanced Excel skills to analyse and interpret complex data, and maintain accurate records. You will be expected to work flexibly around the exam schedule, and it is mandatory to work on exam dates. BMBS is not a traditional modular curriculum; we work collaboratively with a wide range of NHS partners across Devon to deliver this flagship programme. Medicine is a fast-moving and ever-changing environment so being comfortable with continuous change and adopting a commitment to ongoing professional development is important within this team. About You We are looking for a confident individual with excellent organisational, IT and communication skills, as well as someone who is capable of working independently to deliver complex events. One role will predominantly be responsible for organising clinical exams and previous experience in event management will be beneficial. The other role carries responsibility for the organisation of academic teaching sessions and recent administration experience is essential. For both roles, we require an individual with experience working in an administrative environment, advanced proficiency in Excel with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management. You will have experience of working collaboratively and proactively in a team to deliver multiple objectives and high service standards. You will be looking to challenge yourself in a busy environment as part of a committed programme team.
