Due to ongoing business growth, we are now looking for a talented and experienced MET Technician to join the team at our new, state of the art bodyshop in Milton Keynes. About the Job As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' vehicles are repaired to the highest standards. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components of various vehicle makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles. Your expertise will help us maintain our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. As an experienced ATA MET, you will be responsible for: Carrying out all necessary mechanical and body work on allocated jobs. Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop. Carrying out inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work. Ordering replacement parts. Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition. Ensure all work meets the company's quality standards and complies with safety regulations. Communicate effectively with the wider team regarding the status of repairs. About You You will have significant experience as an MET from an accident repair background, including training and working knowledge of electric and hybrid vehicles, with high attention to detail and the ability to work skilfully and safely under pressure. You will: Have significant experience working as an MET, working on a range of vehicle types including electric and hybrid. Be able to plan your workload efficiently and effectively so that vehicles are ready to agreed timescales. Complete your work in line with manufacturers specifications. Have the ability to work as part of the team, as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision. Be flexible in your approach, always working to high standards and with customer satisfaction in mind. Follow Health & Safety guidelines at all times, including ensuring a clean and tidy work area and wearing appropriate PPE. Have experience and training in electric and hybrid vehicles as well as hold ATA/NVQ qualifications in automotive repair, and we will support in renewing these.
