Technical Account Lead
As a Technical Account Lead within the Business Development Team, you will collaborate to meet business objectives, focusing on sustainable growth by delivering for existing clients and exploring new opportunities. Your role involves providing assurance for customers using the AIVR or DepotMATE systems, ensuring these systems meet their expectations and requirements.
You will oversee the technical success of various accounts and projects, from initial surveys to ongoing system usage, identifying opportunities for technical advancement and deployment. You will also prepare for upcoming projects by liaising with relevant teams and ensuring successful deployment and operation.
With your growing expertise and customer management skills, you will identify further opportunities with clients, working alongside Business Development and Commercial teams to support proposals and enhance customer satisfaction and technical success.
This role is based either in Derby or Bristol, with travel required for meetings and site visits to demonstrate system capabilities and gather technical information (training provided).
Responsibilities
1. Support customer accounts within the business development team, maintaining current knowledge of client requirements and success metrics.
2. Visit client sites to understand needs, gather technical data, and demonstrate equipment and data capture capabilities.
3. Develop expertise in the AIVR systems and DepotMATE, supporting activity monitoring and issue resolution with internal teams.
4. Collaborate with the Product and Technical Teams to understand and demonstrate the application of Machine Learning models within AIVR.
5. Respond to customer inquiries via calls and emails, providing system demonstrations and support.
6. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and update the prospect register to inform the delivery team.
7. Provide feedback on customer experience to identify areas for improvement.
8. Assist in preparing technical proposals, sharing insights on customer needs.
9. Share account performance metrics and growth insights with relevant teams and management.
Personal Qualities and Experience
* Excellent communication skills, including presentation and written communication.
* Comfortable with using technical equipment (training provided).
* Team player with proactive initiative-taking abilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Strong organizational skills for managing customer data.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Preferred: experience in a similar role, rail industry knowledge, or bid writing experience.
