We do an important job and we are looking for External Communications Managers to help us get it right - making sure our communications have the right impact. These roles focus is on planning and managing of our day-to-day external communications programme of work, including creating content and using a range of channels targeting the public, legal profession and media. From supporting campaigns to improve public understanding of legal services to promoting the use of innovative technology in the sector, the role will offer the opportunity to communicate a diverse range of topics in an engaging way. Part of a team responsible for delivering all aspects of the SRA's day-to-day external communications activities, the role holder(s) will report into the Head of External Communications. Experience of working with internal stakeholders to help consider and draft externally facing reports and materials, to ensure communications objectives are considered at all stages of development and final products are as impactful as possible Significant experience of multidisciplinary working in cross functional projects and running communications campaigns A track record in adopting successful strategies to ensure communications plans and deliverables remain on schedule and focused on objectives, in particular when working for large organisations or in regulated industries with set approval processes or requirements. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week and we are happy to talk flexible working. This is a hybrid role based either in our Birmingham, London and Cardiff office, 1-2 days a week, and from home for rest of the week. Some travel will be required to the SRA's other offices (usually to our Birmingham office), or for meetings with stakeholders or attendance at events.
