Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are proud to be partnering with Tullibardine Distillery, a renowned producer of premium single malt Scotch whisky, located in the heart of Perthshire. As an independent and family-owned distillery, they take pride in their craftsmanship, tradition, and innovative approach to whisky-making. After 20 years of dedicated service, the current Distillery Manager at Tullibardine Distillery is set to retire, opening a rare opportunity. Tullibardine operates across multiple facilities, including distillation, warehousing, cooperage, and a tank farm, with a visitor centre that showcases its rich history and tradition. The new manager will be responsible for leading a team of 8 distillery operators, a warehouse team, and managing the Distillery, Warehouse & Tank Farm site operations, including key projects such as still replacements coming up next Summer. This role is perfect for someone from a distilling background, perhaps from a larger company, who’s looking to take ownership of a more autonomous operation or from a smaller operation and looking for a wider scope. With a focus on efficiency improvements and carbon capture initiatives, the ideal candidate will have a strong technical acumen and a performance-driven mindset. They will lead a site that produces 3 million litres of alcohol per annum, embracing the challenge of managing projects, bringing enthusiasm and guiding the team whilst shaping the future direction and evolution of Tullibardine's growth and development. Responsibilities: Compliance to both Health and Safety and Customs and Excise procedures Oversee all Tullibardine distilling, warehouse and tank farm operations, ensuring they are completed efficiently and safely Develop and implement operational processes to ensure quality products and services Develop and maintain standards for distilling operations Maintain strong communication and problem-solving skills Monitor and maintain all machinery and equipment related to distilling operations Monitor and ordering of raw materials and fuel to support distilling operations Provide coaching, training and support to team members Coordinate with other departments (e.g. bottling, bulk planning) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products Ensuring all Cask filling, disgorging and despatching is in line with production and customer requirements Additional expertise and support will be required for our distillery in Ireland (Connacht Distillery) Use of production recording and stock reporting systems e.g. DRAMS Administration of despatch and export tanker documentation Experience required: Previous experience in a similar role within a whisky/distilling environment Qualification in Brewing and Distilling, or similar Strong experience and understanding of operational processes and be able to interpret technical documents Previous experience of working with different types of machinery and equipment It is a requirement that applicants hold a full clean UK driving licence If you are an operations professional in the distilling industry and looking for the next step in your Distilling Career, please reach apply directly or contact: Caroline Strachan 07825 450 978 cstrachanweareninetwenty.com
