About You
As a Room Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management within your room, therefore strong leadership skills are a must. You need to be an excellent role model and have a passion for children’s learning & development. We don’t just want you to follow the EYFS; we want you to go above and beyond, encouraging each child to outperform and be the best they can be.
The successful candidate will:
* Hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification at least Level 3 or above.
* Have proven experience in managing a unit within a similar setting.
* Be an exceptional mentor and early years practitioner.
* Have a solid knowledge of the EYFS.
* Have an up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Hygiene certifications.
* Be able to build strong working relationships to ensure common goals can be achieved.
* Need a clear and valid enhanced DBS.
* Be flexible with the working week.
* Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues of all levels of seniority.
* Have experience working in a baby room.
As part of your professional development, we expect all staff to undertake and continue their training. We will discuss suitable further development training as part of the interview process.
Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve:
* Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly checks in the room and agreed action plans are completed effectively.
* Ensure accident trends are monitored and actioned appropriately.
* Lead and manage your team, ensuring they are motivated and trained according to their individual needs, meeting the needs of the unit.
