We are looking for a Wellbeing Manager to take the lead in creating an enriching, supportive, and engaging environment for residents at Castle Retirement Village in Berkhamsted. This is more than just a role - it's an opportunity to drive innovation, lead a dedicated team, and ensure residents receive the best possible wellbeing support tailored to their needs.
The Wellbeing Manager role is a full time position and due to the nature of the work, will require the successful candidate to offer some flexibility with working hours. This is a rewarding role where you will have the chance to shape and enhance our residents' quality of life, ensuring they feel supported, engaged, and empowered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the emergency response service team, respond to emergency calls within the Village and delivering first aid where needed.
* Promoting the health and wellbeing of older people living within the Village and to help maintain independence and safety for residents.
* Carrying out wellbeing assessments for residents and enhancing the current wellbeing service.
* Auditing servicing delivery, reporting on the outcomes and impact of the service.
* Managing the team rota and shift patterns so provision is provided 24/7.
* Support monitoring of the emergency call system, report issues and faults to the village manager.
* Carrying out the wellbeing baseline and annual assessments for residents as per the RVG policy.
* Signposting to healthcare professionals e.g., GP / primary care services.
* Providing information and awareness sessions about key health issues such as osteoporosis / falls prevention, heart disease etc.
* Setting up wellbeing focus groups to meet up monthly where appropriate.
* To ensure all aspects of Health and Safety in your location adhere to RVG's Health and Safety policies and requirements.
Requirements:
* Emergency first aid qualified and confident in administering CPR until further help arrives.
* Significant experience in working with older people.
* Experience or knowledge of primary care and referral to primary care.
* Experience of managing a team and organising staffing rotas.
* Ability to analyse risk and respond appropriately, seeking support as necessary.
* Full understanding of supporting a resident in an emergency and supporting until emergency services arrive.
