RG Consultancy are working with a very well established business in Speke who are looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk. The role is a brand new opportunity due to department growth. You will join a small finance team and report back to the Finance Manager

The Role
* Process and check purchase invoices
* Matching purchase orders and delivery notes
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
* Maintain an up to date purchase ledger
* Prepare payment runs ensuring suppliers are paid on time and correctly
* Handle supplier questions and solve problems related to invoices, payments, and discrepancies
* Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing and audits
* Manage and monitor credit balances with suppliers
* Any addistional support to the finance team with other administrative tasks as needed
The Person
* Experience working as a Purchase Ledger Clerk is essential
* An AAT qualification or studying would be an advantage
* Good MS Excel and IT skills
* Use of SAGE would be an advantage for this role
